Darien sets lot area, width, yards, height, coverage, and minimum floor area for its R-1, R-2, and R-3 residence districts.

## Plain English

R-1 is the largest-lot single-family district; R-2 and R-3 allow smaller lots. Front yards are 45, 35, and 30 feet respectively.
Rear yards are 40 feet in R-1 and 30 feet in R-2/R-3; principal-building lot coverage is capped at 35% in R-1/R-2 and 40% in R-3.
